About the Preschool

Play-Based, Nature-Focused Preschool and Kindercare.

Program Information

Our Preschool offers 2k, 3k and 4k from 8:30 - 11:30 AM Monday through Friday. Our Kindercare offers extended care for our preschool students and Ambler and Hagood morning 4k students from 7:30 am - 8:30 am and 11:30 am - 5:30 pm.

The Preschool classes have a vibrant curriculum which supports the Holly Springs Center’s slogan; “From Heritage Roots Sprout Innovative Growth.”

Our Approach

At the Preschool at Holly Springs Center we integrate Language and Literacy, Math, Physical Development and Health, Science, Social Studies, Engineering, Technology and the Arts in a program that is tailored to the way young children learn best. We embrace Reggio methods and have a play-based curriculum using hands-on, project-based, experiential learning and developmentally appropriate materials.

Every day at the Preschool, students make connections to nature and the arts, especially traditional arts, taking full advantage of HSC’s School of Mountain Arts (e.g., pottery making, traditional music & dance, culinary arts, gardening, etc.). They are also involved in Innovative arts programs such as STEAM, LEGOs, and Makerspaces with age appropriate activities. Children explore and discover on the 14 beautiful acres of land surrounding HSC. The children in the Kindercare program also have many opportunities to be engaged learners assisted by their nurturing caregivers.

Eligibility

Students must attend Preschool to be eligible for aftercare.

Meals

Breakfast is provided for all Preschool students, lunch is provided for all Middle Care students and a snack is provided for Late Care students. All meals follow CACFP guidelines.

Closures

Preschool at Holly Springs follows the SDPC calendar and is closed on all holidays, teacher work days, and for inclement weather.

Early Care 7:30-8:30am $50/mo
Middle Care 11:30-3:00pm $160/mo
Late Care 3:00-5:30pm $100/mo

Full day care total: $550/mo
