In June of 2017 Holly Springs Center (HSC) in Pickens County had its grand opening after being re-purposed from the recently-closed Holly Springs Elementary. HSC has focused on activities, camps, and classes related to its School of Mountain Arts (SOMA) and Nature/Gardening during these past months. Beginning in late October, field trips will be offered to schools and home-schoolers from anywhere. We hope that you will consider bringing your school group to Holly Springs Center which is in a beautiful setting, on 14 acres of land with a creek running through the large playground positioned on the edge of the Blue Ridge Escarpment. The building is in excellent condition and has been revamped to work with groups of all sizes, ages, and skill levels. Instructors of our classes are well-seasoned and knowledgeable at teaching their craft and have a high level of expertise. Overall, we offer a unique experience at HSC where groups can custom-design a field trip that is age-appropriate and unlike any other opportunity in our area. Students may take classes in Mountain Arts, in Nature/Gardening or both. Each of these classes will be SC standards-based. Be sure to visit our website at http://www.VisitHSC.comor our Facebook page for Holly Springs Center. We look forward to answering any questions you may have and serving you and your students at Holly Springs Center on a field trip. Call 864-878-9335 or email email@example.com for more info.
Thank you to our partners at the SC Arts Commission and Pickens County School District for partially funding this project, and supporting the advocacy of Appalachian Arts and Culture education.
Sincerely, Holly Springs Center Board of Directors
